How to Replace A Pop-Up Assembly

Step 1: Shut off the water supply to the sink.

Roll some plumbers putty into the shape of a pencil, and apply it under the new flange. This will help keep the pop-up assembly in place and prevent leaks.

Step 6: Reconnect the water supply lines.
Once everything is back in place, it’s time to reconnect the water supply lines. Use the wrench to tighten the coupling nut securely. Be sure to put them back on and turn on the water valve to check for leaks. If everything is good to go, you’re done!
